Athens Cooks for Palestine

“Athens Cooks for Palestine” – two nights with shared tables in solidarity, raising funds for humanitarian relief in Palestine.

A crazy idea that became reality with the help of an amazing group of people: 11 chefs cooking pro bono – Dimitris Afentakis, Athanasios Argianas, Stavros Chrysafidis, Vasilis Chamam, Fadh Alexandros Hassan- Kassem, Phaedra Mavroeidi Svana, Karolos Michailidis, Agapi Micheli, Yiannis Kandylidis, Danae Tsekoura and your truly- with ingredients donated by producers, farmers, shops and other restaurants, for two nights, for a group of about 100 people at Proveleggios restaurant.

Together we managed to raise almost 12 000€ which were donated to Taawon’s Noor program providing food, education, healthcare, protection and psychological support to the children of Palestine.

A quiet, determined collective gesture full of love, a small act which carries weight and meaning, reminding us that care, solidarity, action and hope still exist, and they matter!
