Recipes for Ancient Greek Sandals

April 2020

April has been weird and different this year as almost half of the world is in lockdown since last month due to the new pandemic that’s been sweeping the globe. For those of us who are lucky to be at home, thankful for the doctors and all the frontliners fighting this virus, cooking has been a way to deal with this new norm, overwhelming emotions and the amount of free time that we finally have.

In this spirit, I was asked by my dear friend Christina Martini, co-founder and designer of footwear brand Ancient Greek Sandals, to share some simple, vegetarian Greek recipes on their site: easy and quick meals to cook at home, some classic Greek staples and a few ones with a whiff of Mediterranean air.

Among other recipes we had the all time favourite Greek salad, a light on the garlic tzatziki dip, some marinated olives for a Hellenic aperitivo and a spring salad of raw, marinated courgettes with basil and cheese.
